On January 20 and 27, Marisa will be teaching “Developing a Sustainable and Rewarding Writing Practice” at Stanford University’s Writers’ Studio.
On March 3, Marisa will be co-teaching a daylong workshop, “Through the Dark Night,” at Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
Marisa will be an artist-in-residence at the Valparaiso Foundation in Spain in July, 2018.
Her short story “Love is Sleeping on Broken China” will appear in the upcoming edition of Ruminate Magazine.
Marisa’s song “Light Inside” is featured on the soundtrack to Ekilibre Dance Company’s current production, “Lost Paradise.”
Her essay “Home,” a lyrical meditation on place and longing, appeared in the Winter 2016 issue of Anchor magazine.
Her short story “Biblioburro,” set in Colombia at the height of the civil war, was featured in the November issue of Tiferet journal.
And her recent “Humansong” was an October selection by Maitri Tunes, which features heart-centered music from wisdom traditions around the world.
